Goldman Names Ratesic Vice Chair of Consumer Retail Group

A Goldman Sachs memo confirms that Marko Ratesic has become vice chairman of the consumer retail investment banking group. Ratesic joined Goldman Sachs in 2006 and now serves as chief operating officer of the financial and strategic investors group in the Americas while maintaining his work with financial sponsor-backed companies.
The company continues to execute major consumer and retail deals including Mars’ $36 billion acquisition of Kellanova Pringles maker and Dick’s Sporting Goods’ purchase of Foot Locker and Sycamore Partners’ $10 billion acquisition of Walgreens Boots Alliance during 2025.
After starting at Goldman Sachs as a vice president in consumer retail he moved to investment banking services when he joined in 2009. He led banking operations in the Midwest from Chicago for multiple years before moving back to New York in 2021. The company promoted him to managing director in 2009 and then made him a partner in 2016.
