Musk Retreats from Trump Clash, Says Posts ‘Went Too Far’

Elon Musk ended his public dispute with President Trump through an admission that some of his recent social media content exceeded appropriate limits.

Musk expressed regret about his previous posts targeting President @realDonaldTrump during the previous week through his X platform early Wednesday. “They went too far.”

The public disagreement between Trump and Musk caused investor concern because his businesses depend on federal government contracts. Musk removed his post about government concealment of Trump’s Epstein connections but maintained his criticism of the president’s spending bill and his claims about helping Trump win in 2016.

Trump has threatened to cut off government contracts for Musk’s companies, which include Tesla, SpaceX and Starlink. The strategic retreat from the dispute indicates Musk wants to protect his business operations.
